Hello!
And again about the Hotel Falcon Plaza Centre, a 3-star accommodation in Amsterdam.
Martin and Sandra had reserved double room there for five nights (the hotel also offered single, triple and quad rooms), the staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. The good thing about the hotel was that the entire hotel was non-smoking. The elevator was available at the hotel, a good facility especially after a day on foot exploring the sights. Their room in Amsterdam Hotel Falcon was clean, though not very big, the heating was OK, so it was warm and Martin and Sandra had almost everything they needed: toilet, bathroom, colour TV, telephone, radio, alarm clock, a wardrobe (with safe), a dressing table. They also had coffee and tea making facilities. But the best feature of their room was the hot power shower (er, just what you need after spending a day in the red light district, er, sorry!
))). The bed was very comfortable; the linen was lovely and clean, they had fresh towels every day, rooms were cleaned daily, room service didn’t disturb much and the chambermaid was always smiling. In spite of being next to a main road, the room wasn’t noisy.
The continental breakfast was served from 7.30 to 10.00 in the clean and cosy dining room. It was simple but filling (Sandra liked their chocolate milk and cheese and ham toasts).
All in all, Martin and Sandra enjoyed their stay at Hotel Falcon in Amsterdam. They consider Hotel Falcon Plaza Centre a good budget Amsterdam hotel. So, Caroline, I think this 3-star hotel worth considering when choosing a place to stay in Amsterdam.
That’s all about this hotel. Bye-bye! Hope to see you soon!

Hello!
I go on with the description of Hotel Falcon Amsterdam.
I have already mentioned in the previous post the perfect location of the hotel in the center of Amsterdam, very close to the most popular places of interest and public transport, which makes this 3-star Amsterdam hotel a good place to settle if your goal is to explore the capital. You can reach most of the sights on foot, and if you don’t mind walking a little and want to save money and keep within your budget don’t take a taxi because local taxis tend to be quite expensive. Sandra admitted that when they tried to take a taxi from central station to the Hotel Falcon Plaza Centre, the taxi driver charged them EUR 25 for the ride; soon they discovered that the route was very short and it was quite simple to walk.
There is a special private parking lot adjacent to the Hotel Falcon Plaza Centre, so guests on wheels can park their cars for €25 a day (last year price, sorry, I don’t know how much they charge these days).
The hotel itself is housed in a modern building; stone-floored lobby with lots of plants is a pleasant place to relax with some friends. Amsterdam Hotel Falcon is far enough from the noisy nightlife, so it doesn’t disturb you in the hotel room, but it is still close enough to enjoy everything Amsterdam has to offer.
I will continue later about the hotel. I have to go. Bye for now!

Hello, friends!
I keep my promise to find the best Amsterdam hotel for my sister’s family, so here is the next city center hotel in Amsterdam – Hotel Falcon Plaza Centre – which has been highly praised by some of my acquaintances, Martin and Sandra. I don’t know them very well and have seen them once when they turned out to be in France while traveling around Europe; they are from Boston, so we mostly chat on ICQ. Very nice and friendly couple. Thanks for the information!
Hotel Falcon Plaza in Amsterdam is conveniently located in the very heart of the downtown Amsterdam close to everything: the vibrant “Waterlooplein” flea market (200 metres from the hotel.), which is a shoppers’ paradise with so many curiosities to gaze or to purchase (I haven’t had a chance to do shopping there yet, but I hope to wander there with you, Caroline!); “Rembrandtplein” square where lots of cafes with open-air terraces are conducive to enjoying a refreshing drink and watching the people go by (I have been there lately with Chantal); the ‘Stopera’ (Opera House and City Hall); Dam Square and Anne Frank’s House, not to mention the famous Red Light District, are just a short walk away from Hotel Falcon Plaza Centre in Amsterdam. Ideally located, isn’t it?
There is a tram stop located nearby and I must say that trams in Amsterdam run frequently! Joanne claims that if you take the tram, you can easily reach all ends of the city. I think, this 3-star budget accommodation in Amsterdam is an ideal base for the city exploration.
Sorry, I should go now, I will continue later on.

And again about the Hotel Seasons in Amsterdam.
In spite of its decent location very close to the city center the hotel guests enjoy peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle, Chantal said that they were not disturbed by the street noise in their rooms. The tram stop is comfortably located nearby and provides an easy access to the Amsterdam places of interest as trams run frequently.
My friends had two double rooms, Chantal with Pierre were fortunate to have a good spaced room with canal view. Amenities included an in-room mini safe, a private en-suit bathroom with bath slippers, toilet, hair-drier, telephone, television with both Dutch and British channels, tea and coffee making facilities, but there wasn’t an in-room fridge or a mini bar. Chantal says that if you require a supermarket you can easily find one about 100m away from the hotel: you just need to turn left after going out of the hotel, cross over the nearby intersection and the supermarket is further along the street on the left hand side.
The room and room facilities were clean and the furniture was wisely arranged. Nice beds, but the twin mattress was somewhat hard for Chantal’s taste, but passable (Pierre thought it was OK, so that’s the matter of taste). Clean towels were available every day, but they didn’t like the shower curtain which was too short and the shower could easily flood the bathroom.
The room price included the breakfast which was various and tasty, they were offered a large selection of juices, cereals, cold meats, eggs and cheese.
My friends’ overall impression of this 3-star accommodation in Amsterdam was fine; they thought that the hotel offered good quality services for the price they paid. They thoroughly enjoyed the Hotel Seasons Amsterdam.
The address of the Hotel Seasons Amsterdam is Stadhouderskade, 135.
Chantal, thank you very much for helping me. Bye!

Now, let’s revert to the hotel description started in the previous post. Hotel Seasons Amsterdam, remember.
I have already mentioned that Hotel Seasons is a city center hotel in Amsterdam and here are just a few must-to-see places, or tourists’ favourites, located close to the reviewed hotel: the Heineken Brewery ( no.1 place for Barry!
)), the Leidseplein, Waterlooplein and the Rembrandtplein with lots of restaurants, bars and cafes for any taste and budget, the Flea Market, the Museum Square (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art), and Carre (main theatre).
Caroline, now comes the place, which we should pay special attention to: Albert Cuyp market! It’s just a perfect place for shopping, paradise for shoppers, i.e. for both of us! I am just on tenterhooks waiting our shopping there with you! You will certainly love it! I have already experienced shopping there with Joanne. The product selection amazes: everything from the traditional range of vegetable, fruit, cheese and spices to clothing, bed-sheets, cheap textiles, watches, cleaning products, shoes and even cosmetics. Here you can find almost everything! It is all very cheap compared to the local shops (Joanne says that the prices here are among the cheapest in Amsterdam). I bought a handbag for EUR 8 and a little further away I saw the same for EUR 19! We will definitely have fun shopping there.
Oops! The post is not about the Hotel Seasons Amsterdam, but the shopping. Sorry
) I promise to continue about the hotel later.
