Hello, friends!
Here I am back with some information about Amsterdam and its places of interest, which, I hope, will help my sister’s friends (and it will be also useful for all those planning to spend a couple of days in the capital of the Netherlands) to get the most out of their weekend trip to Amsterdam.
Have a good and filling breakfast in the Amsterdam hotel where you stay (many Amsterdam hotels, even budget Amsterdam hotels, offer rooms with breakfasts included in the room rate, if they don’t they still offer breakfasts for some extra charge) or in the numerous cafes nearby your Amsterdam hotel. A good breakfast will give you energy for a day exploring the city.
Plan ahead which places of interest you would like to visit in Amsterdam, choose from dozens of famous museums depending on your interests and preferences. Art admirers should definitely visit Vincent Van Gogh Museum, featuring 200 paintings and 550 sketches by the famous artist. I have been there and I had a great time being carried away by famous art masterpieces and that’s really one of those must-see places in Amsterdam. Some other options for art lovers are Rijksmuseum, Museum Het Rembrandthuis, CoBrA Museum of Modern Art and Stedelijk Museum. Those looking for some unusual experience should visit unique Erotic Museum, located in the heart of the Red Light district.
Amsterdam’s gorgeous architecture is well-known, so don’t miss an opportunity to see classical Dutch architecture and modern Renzo Piano’s buildings.
If you visit the highest tower in Amsterdam, Westerkerk, you will be able to enjoy a beautiful view of the city.
These are just some ways of spending your weekend in Amsterdam. Have a good time!

Hello, friends!
Today I am going to review Travel Hotel Amsterdam, which is conveniently located for travelers who arrive at the Central Station. It is just 5 minutes walk from the Central Station to Travel Hotel Amsterdam. The exact address of this cheap Amsterdam hotel is Beursstraat 23 1012 JV Amsterdam, that is right in the heart of Amsterdam. Leisure travelers will find this Amsterdam hotel a good base for exploring the city, because Travel Hotel Amsterdam is close to numerous tourist sights, such as the world famous Red Light District, the floating flower market at the ‘Singel’ (canal), the royal palace and Madame Tussauds. “Kalverstraat” or the “Magna Plaza” shopping centres will definitely attract fans of shopping. Hotel guests can experience Amsterdam’s vivid nightlife in numerous restaurants, bars and clubs at the “Rembrandtplein”. You see that the location of the hotel couldn’t be better.
There were three of us who came to Amsterdam, so we booked en suite triple room with three single beds and a private shower and toilet. There also were basic type rooms where guests shared a shower and toilet with other guests; these rooms were cheaper, but we preferred having private facilities.
The hotel was certainly very basic but we got what we paid for (prices in Travel Hotel Amsterdam were cheaper in comparison to prices in nearby 2-star Amsterdam hotels). Both the room and the linen were very clean, fresh towels were available each day. There was only one thing that disturbed us at times – the ringing bell in the nearby church.
So, if you need a cheap Amsterdam hotel in the center to stay on budget, Travel Hotel Amsterdam would be a good choice.

Hello, friends!
A couple of my sister’s friends are going to spend a weekend in Amsterdam and I have been asked to help them with some information about the city and its places of interest. As I don’t know Amsterdam very well, my husband’s sister added her instructions as well. Thanks to Joanne for her help!
I suppose that beforehand planning is required if you want to get the most out of your weekend trip to Amsterdam as the city offers so much to see and experience. Booking your Amsterdam hotel or any other kind of Amsterdam accommodation in advance will prevent you from disappointments. A nice hotel room which meets your requirements and needs would be a good starting point for exploring the city. And doesn’t matter whether it would be a cheap Amsterdam hotel or a luxurious apartment in a 5-star Amsterdam hotel (the choice depends on your preferences and the thickness of your wallet), you just need a place to rest and sleep after an interesting but tiring day in the capital.
And now, when you decided where to stay in Amsterdam, its time to think about the way you are going to travel around the city. Here is a helpful hint to make your city exploration cheaper and easier – rent a bike. Bike rentals will allow you to save money on taxi fare and prevent from waiting in traffic jams or taking crowded buses. Many locals prefer biking, because it is a quick and healthy way of getting around the city.
I will continue later on…

Hello!
Here I am with a new hotel description shared by a person who has just returned from Amsterdam and of course I was right there to ask him about his impressions of the hotel where he stayed. Cordial Hotel & Bar City Centre in Amsterdam was the hotel where he decided to settle. He liked the hotel’s central location and Cordial Hotel & Bar City Centre Amsterdam was very close to the office where he had some business talks. The hotel was also close to some of the most popular tourist spots of the capital and he hoped to walk around and explore Amsterdam’s nightlife. Early booking prevented him from any kind of accommodation disappointments.
Cordial Hotel & Bar City Centre Amsterdam was just what we wanted from a cheap 2-star Amsterdam hotel – excellent location, comparatively cheap prices, all necessary amenities (a hairdryer, TV with some English channels, a wardrobe, dressing table and a large mirror), friendly staff and filling breakfast included in the room rate.
The room size didn’t impress him, but his apartment was clean, fresh towels were available every day, outside noise was bearable, provided room amenities suited his needs.
There were lots of eating and drinking places surrounding Cordial Hotel Amsterdam, shopping was also on the doorstep and lots of attractions were within walking distance from the hotel.
He thinks that Cordial Hotel & Bar City Centre Amsterdam is a good budget hotel in Amsterdam, excellent value for money. Don’t choose it if you are used to 4 diamond hotels, but if you want an apartment with no frills, this Amsterdam hotel is a good choice.

Hello, friends!
The next hotel I am going to review is Hotel de Paris in Amsterdam. One of colleagues has stayed there recently and he has kindly shared his experience of staying in this cheap Amsterdam hotel. Hotel de Paris Amsterdam is located in the center of the capital and provides 3-star apartments for travelers. As Hotel de Paris Amsterdam is adjacent to numerous bars and nightclubs of Leidseplein Square and close to the Red Right District, it is an ideal place to settle for party-goers. Shopping fans would be glad to find Leidsestraat shopping nearby Hotel de Paris Amsterdam. The Municipal Theatre, Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum are very close to the hotel as well. As you can see, Hotel de Paris Amsterdam enjoys very convenient location for any kind of tourists.
My colleague had a good experience in Hotel de Paris in Amsterdam. The price they charged for a single room was very low compared to prices in most city center hotels in Amsterdam. Apartments at the Hotel de Paris Amsterdam were not spacious at all, but they were of adequate-sized for a single guest (the hotel room is not for dancing, but for sleeping!). The room was equipped with basic amenities, but cable television and Internet access was available. All in all, my colleague’s room was simple yet pleasant to stay in.
The Hotel de Paris Amsterdam offered continental breakfasts, which was fresh and well served, drinks were available at the on-site bar.
There was a shuttle to the airport from the hotel, which was very comfortable.
The overall impression of the Hotel de Paris Amsterdam was very positive. My colleague recommends Hotel de Paris Amsterdam for those looking for a cheap 3-star hotel in the center of Amsterdam.
