Hey! Happy New Year! Chin-chin!
My dear relatives and friends, I wish you all happiness, robust health, love, good fortune and other-other. Let all your dreams and hopes come true!
I was so happy when our friends, Pierre with Chantal and Leroy with his new girl-friend, Lucy (she turned out to be quite friendly and pleasant), decided to spend a couple of days in Amsterdam. They came on the third of January and left two days after. They stayed near the Amsterdam museum in the city center, at the one of the recommended Amsterdam Hotels - Hotel Seasons Amsterdam. They were satisfied with the service and the provided amenities. We had a great party celebrating Christmas, New Year, and our meeting, with lots of food to eat and lots of spirits to drink; one could easily guess how funny it was :))) They left late at night. They called me, when they reached their Hotel Seasons Amsterdam and we were speaking on the phone for about an hour. I had a headache next morning, he-he! But, anyway everything was great! Jack went to Spain yesterday :(( I already miss him. But he is going to come to Amsterdam for the weekend.
I feel a little bit tired after all those celebrations and want to spend a couple of days in silence, besides, I think I’ve got a cold, so I have to take some medicine in other to recover by the time when Jack arrives. I have 3 books on the shelf calling out to be read. Let’s start with Raymond Carver’s “What we talk about when we talk about love”. I love vintage paperbacks because they feel nice. I like the 1980s editions: all of Raymond Carver’s collections, for example, with the weird drawings on the covers.
So, good-bye for now!
My name is Mary Simes and I have just moved to Amsterdam to my husband’s sister. I am blogging about Amsterdam Sights & Hotels in Amsterdam.
It's my first experience with blogging.
